The most common and neutral way to say 'Italian language'.

Referring to a person or people from Italy
Standard term for an Italian person. Can be singular or plural.
彼はイタリア人です。
He is Italian.
イタリア人は情熱的だと言われています。
Italians are said to be passionate.
Polite way to refer to an Italian person. '方' is a respectful term for person.
あちらのイタリアの方に聞いてみましょう。
Let's ask that Italian person over there.
Describing something as Italian (food, products, culture, etc.)
Use 'イタリアの' before a noun to mean 'Italian (something)'. This is the most versatile pattern.
イタリアの料理が大好きです。
I love Italian food.
これはイタリアの車です。
This is an Italian car.
イタリアのワインを飲みました。
I drank Italian wine.
Means 'made in Italy'. Often used for products, fashion, etc.
このバッグはイタリア製です。
This bag is made in Italy.
Used almost exclusively for Italian cuisine or restaurants. 'イタリアンレストラン' means Italian restaurant.
Using 'Italian' as a nationality adjective (e.g., Italian culture, Italian government)
Same pattern as above. Covers most cases where English uses 'Italian' as an adjective.
イタリアの文化に興味があります。
I'm interested in Italian culture.
イタリアの歴史を学んでいます。
I'm learning Italian history.
