Use ルネサンス when specifically referring to the historical European Renaissance. For a general revival or rebirth, 復興 or 再生 is more natural. 文芸復興 is a direct translation but sounds academic and is rarely used in conversation.
Do not translate 'Renaissance' directly as 再生 or 復興 when referring to the historical period. It will sound like you are talking about a generic revival rather than the specific era.

A more formal, kanji-based term meaning 'revival of literature and arts'. It is less common in everyday speech but appears in academic or historical contexts.
