平均以上
above average (general)

Direct and neutral way to say 'above average'. Used for test scores, performance, quality, etc.
彼の成績は平均以上だ。
His grades are above average.
Means 'excellent' or 'superior'. Stronger than just 'above average', but often used when someone clearly stands out.
彼女は優秀な学生です。
She is an above-average student.
Literally 'upper middle'. Used in rankings or informal evaluations to mean slightly above average.
