近づく is the most common and neutral for physical or temporal approach. 接近する is formal and often used in news or technical contexts. 迫る implies urgency or threat, and is common for deadlines or danger.
When talking about a way of doing something, avoid literal translations like 方法に近づく. Use 取り組む, アプローチ, or 対処する instead.
