The group of people elected to oversee a company's activities. In Japanese, the term depends on context: the legal body, the meeting, or the members.

Explicitly refers to the board meeting. Often shortened to just 取締役会 when context is clear.

Tomorrow's board of directors meeting is from 10 a.m.
Referring to the individuals who serve on the board.
取締役会 is used for corporate boards (stock companies), while 理事会 is for non-profit or institutional boards. Using 理事会 for a company can sound odd.
Do not translate 'board of directors' word-for-word as ディレクターのボード. This is not natural Japanese.
