A person whose job is to display clothes by wearing them. Note: In English, 'mannequin' can sometimes mean a live model, but this is rare. In Japanese, マネキン never refers to a person.
The standard word for a fashion model (person). Do not use マネキン for a live person.

マネキン refers only to inanimate display figures, never to live fashion models. Using マネキン for a person will cause confusion or amusement.
