In the IT industry, new terms are created one after another.
You can also simply say 新しい言葉 (あたらしいことば) to mean 'new word' in a general sense. It's less technical and very common in everyday speech.
今日新しい言葉を覚えた。
I learned a new word today.
This new word spread among young people.
A coined word, often intentionally created. Can also refer to the act of coining a word.
その作家は多くの造語を生み出した。
That writer created many new words.
A newly coined word, similar to 造語 but emphasizing the newness. Less common.
この新造語はまだ辞書に載っていない。
This newly coined word is not yet in the dictionary.
Literally 'a word I don't know'. Simple and direct.
この文章には知らない単語がたくさんある。
There are many new words in this text.
Can also be used for new terms in general, including technical ones.
医学の新語を覚えるのは大変だ。
Learning new medical terms is tough.
