Literally 'handling well'. 処理 (しょり) means 'processing' or 'dealing with'. Suitable for tasks or problems.
彼女は問題をうまく処理している。
She is on top of the problem.
A more formal term meaning 'to have command of' or 'to be in control of'. Often used in business or leadership contexts.

To indicate that something extra, usually a burden or problem, is added to an existing situation.
Means 'in addition to N'. Neutral, but often used for negative additions. 加えて (くわえて) is the te-form of 加える (to add).
仕事に加えて、家事もしなければならない。

Do not use 上 (うえ) to mean 'in control of'. Saying '仕事の上にいる' would be interpreted as physically being on top of work, not managing it. Use phrases like 把握している or 処理している instead.
Both can mean 'on top of' in the sense of addition. に加えて is more formal and neutral, while の上に is slightly more figurative and often implies a negative addition. おまけに is very casual and explicitly negative.
