Referring to the company or organization you work for, rather than the physical location.
The most common word for 'company' or 'office' where one works. Use this when you mean your employer.
私の会社は東京にあります。
My company (place of work) is in Tokyo.
会社に行く途中で雨が降りました。
It rained on my way to work (the office).
Similar to 勤務先 but slightly more conversational. Refers to the company or organization one works for.
Talking about the workplace as an environment or concept, e.g., workplace culture, safety.
Also used for the abstract workplace environment. Common in phrases like 職場環境 (workplace environment).

Can be used abstractly but less common than 職場 for this nuance.
職場 emphasizes the physical or environmental aspect of where you work, while 会社 refers to the company as an organization. When you say 'I'm going to work,' 会社に行く is natural if you work at a company office. If you work at a hospital, school, or factory, you would say 病院に行く, 学校に行く, 工場に行く, etc., or simply 職場に行く.
Avoid directly translating 'place of work' as 仕事の場所. While understandable, it sounds unnatural. Use 職場 or 勤務先 instead.
