In Japanese, 'pyjamas' is most commonly expressed as パジャマ (pajama), a loanword from English. Traditional Japanese sleepwear like 寝巻き (nemaki) and 浴衣 (yukata) are also used in specific contexts.

The most common and neutral word for pyjamas in Japanese. Used for both adult and children's sleepwear.

The child changed into pyjamas.
Referring to traditional Japanese garments worn for sleeping, such as a kimono-style robe.
Traditional Japanese sleepwear, typically a loose-fitting robe. Often used in ryokan (Japanese inns).
旅館で寝巻きを着た。
I wore a nemaki at the ryokan.
A casual cotton kimono often worn after bathing or as sleepwear, especially in summer or at inns. Note: 浴衣 can also be worn outside as casual summer attire.
浴衣で寝る。
I sleep in a yukata.
An alternative kanji spelling for 寝巻き, less common but same meaning.
