自己満足 is a neutral term for self-satisfaction, while 独り善がり carries a strong negative connotation of being self-righteous and ignoring others' perspectives. Use 独り善がり when criticizing someone's smugness.
彼の自己満足は理解できるが、独り善がりになるな。
I can understand his self-satisfaction, but don't become self-righteous.
The literal translation '自己の満足' is not idiomatic. Use 自己満足 or other terms depending on context.
