特別扱い is the most general term for special treatment, neutral in tone. 優遇 is formal and often used in business or legal contexts, implying favorable treatment that may be systematic. えこひいき is informal and explicitly negative, meaning favoritism or playing favorites.
彼は上司にえこひいきされている。
He is being favored by the boss (unfairly).
While 特別扱い is a direct translation, in some contexts it may sound too strong or imply unfairness. For positive hospitality, use 特別なおもてなし or 手厚いもてなし instead.
