Literally 'does not change'. The most natural way to say something is still the same.
彼は昔と変わらないね。
He's the same as ever, isn't he?
状況は変わっていない。
The situation remains the same.
Means 'as usual' or 'as ever', often with a nuance of 'still the same' (sometimes slightly negative).
相変わらず忙しい日々です。
I'm busy as ever.
Means 'as it is' or 'unchanged'. Used when something is left in its current state.
To refer back to something already stated, like 'the same' in formal English.
Prefix meaning 'the same' or 'said', used in formal writing like '同社' (the same company) or '同氏' (the said person).

同じ is the everyday word for 'same'. 同一 is more formal and emphasizes exact identity, often used in official documents or technical descriptions.

In English, we can say 'I'll have the same.' In Japanese, you need to specify what you want, e.g., 同じものをください (Please give me the same one). Just saying 同じです is possible but often sounds incomplete.
