A gate or barrier where you scan or insert a ticket to enter or exit a station. In Japan, these are automated ticket gates (改札).
The standard electronic gate at train/subway stations where you tap or insert a ticket/IC card.
General term for ticket gates or the ticket inspection area. Often used in compounds.
