worship, adore, pray to
拝 centers on showing deep respect or reverence: worshiping a deity, adoring someone, or praying to a higher power.
拝 is the modern simplified form of 拜. The older form combines 扌 (hand) with a component suggesting two hands joined in a gesture of respect, representing worship or prayer.
The left hand 扌 is raised in a gesture of worship, while the right side looks like two hands pressed together in prayer. Together, 拝 means to worship or adore.
For ハイ, imagine a worshiper raising their hands high and saying 'Hi!' to the heavens: Hi -> ハイ, a greeting of deep respect.
