tell (someone) to do
Used after a verb to express telling or instructing someone to do that action. The verb before ように is in the dictionary form or negative form.
母は私に早く寝るように言った。
My mother told me to go to bed early.
先生は生徒たちに静かにするように言い
The teacher told the students to be quiet.
