Often appears in compounds or names such as テーマパーク, ドッグパーク, and ウォーターパーク. For an ordinary public park, 公園 is the more basic Japanese word.

  We went to a theme park as a family on the weekend.

• 犬いぬを連つれてドッグパークで遊あそばせた。

  I took my dog and let it play at the dog park.

Used as パークする for parking a vehicle, but it sounds more loanword-like and less standard than 駐車する. It is an intransitive する-verb use.

• ここにパークしてもいいですか。

  Is it okay to park here?
