noun, noun or participle which takes 'suru', intransitive verb
proceeding to; leaving for
Rare use for going or setting out toward a destination. In modern Japanese, 出向く, 向かう, or 出発する is usually more natural unless the intended style is formal, old-fashioned, or technical.
古い文章では、「大阪へ出向する」のように目的地へ向かう意味で出向が使われることがある。
In older writing, 出向 may be used as in “proceed to Osaka” to mean heading toward a destination.
