Sumo term: a wrestler's rank is higher than their actual skill level warrants. Used metaphorically in other contexts to mean someone is in over their head.
あの力士は家賃が高いと言われている。
That wrestler is said to be ranked too high for his abilities.
彼は部長になったが、まだ家賃が高い感じがする。
He became a department manager, but it still feels like he's in over his head.
