A sect of Shinto centered on Mount Ontake. The reading おんたけきょう is standard; みたけきょう is also used.

• 御おん嶽たけ教きょうは、長なが野の県けんと岐ぎ阜ふ県けんにまたがる御おん嶽たけ山さんを信しん仰こうの対たい象しょうとしている。

  Ontake-kyo takes Mount Ontake, which straddles Nagano and Gifu prefectures, as its object of worship.
