Intransitive; describes someone behaving in a self-important, affected, or pretentious manner. Often used critically.

• 彼かれはいつも気き取どっていて、話はなしにくい。

  He's always putting on airs and is hard to talk to.

• そんなに気き取どらなくてもいいのに。

  You don't have to be so affected.

• 彼かれは文ぶん化か人じんを気き取どっているが、実じつは何なにも知しらない。

• 被ひ害がい者しゃを気き取どるのはやめてくれ。

  Stop pretending to be the victim.
