ichidan verb
Describes something being burned or scorched, often to the point of being blackened or ruined. Intransitive; the subject is the thing that gets burned.
パンが焼け焦げてしまった。
The bread got burned to a crisp.
火事で家が焼け焦げた。
The house was scorched in the fire.
