診みる

examine medically; check a patient; have a look at (a patient)

Used specifically for a doctor or medical professional examining a patient, checking symptoms, or taking a pulse. Not used for general 'seeing' or 'looking'.

• 医い者しゃに診みてもらったほうがいいですよ。

  You should have a doctor examine you.

• 先せん生せいが患かん者じゃの脈みゃくを診みている。

  The doctor is checking the patient's pulse.
