Used for objects that have become shabby, frayed, or worn down through extended use. Not typically used for people in this sense.
この靴はもうくたびれているから、新しいのを買わないと。
These shoes are already worn out, so I need to buy new ones.

Attaches to the -masu stem of a verb to express weariness or frustration from repeatedly doing that action. Casual and often carries a nuance of being fed up.
毎日同じお弁当で食べくたびれた。
I'm tired of eating the same boxed lunch every day.

I get fed up with listening to his long stories.
